Valentine's Rush Is On!!

The last minute rush is on! Please remember your special Valentine this week!!
Everyone only gets one chance to provide a memorable Valentine’s Day for their special loved one… or their date for the evening! Nothing will start the day off better than having beautiful flowers delivered to your special someone at work or home. Another strategy that always works well is to have a beautiful take home arrangement waiting at your favorite restaurant. Whatever you have in mind, Steve's Flowers & Gift's can work with you to make any fantasy come true!

Keep in mind that Valentine’s Day is not only for your sweetheart! No one wants their mother, father, sister, brother or other family members to be left out. It is a holiday to show your love and appreciation to anyone special in your heart!

Also remember, if roses are not your favorite, we have a large assortment of flowers that we can gather and arrange to suit anyone’s fancy.

Be good to locally owned businesses!
When purchasing your flowers from a traditional florist and having them delivered from your local community florists, you support local businesses in your area verses having flowers delivered in a box from an out of state floral vendor. As a local business we “Thank You” for your community support!!!
Once you receive your professionally designed flowers, here are a few tips to keep them fresh and longer lasting:
• Fill a clean vase with tepid water. Add a packet of commercial flower food to feed the blooms and discourage bacterial buildup. Or add a pinch of sugar and a few drops of bleach.
• Remove foliage that would be underwater; this also discourages bacteria. (To avoid stains, carefully remove pollen-covered lily stamens.)
• Re-cut stems at an angle to ensure water uptake. Immediately place them in the vase.
• Display your flowers in a cool spot. Avoid direct sunlight and heating or cooling vents, a killer for tulips.
• Add water as needed; change when cloudy.
• Remove wilting flowers. The ethylene they give off may cause other flowers to wilt. Irises are among the first to go.
• And don't be alarmed if tulips snake, bend and continue — perhaps like your love — to grow.

Enjoy some famous love quotes!

  • Falling in love is so hard on the knees.  -Aerosmith
  • At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet.  -Plato
  • I love thee to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach.  -Elizabeth Barrett Browning
  • Love is a smoke made with the fume of sighs.  -William Shakespeare

  • Love is a game that two can play and both win.

  • Do you know what you Birth Flower is?

  • February is Violet
This fragrant flower is tiny yet vigorous in its growth. It is self-pollinating, which is why in the middle ages, the church adopted it to symbolize the immaculate conception of the Virgin Mary. This flower is associated with innocent love and virtue.
We hope to help make your Valentine’s Day the most special ever! Thank you so much for your patronage!
